About Me

Welcome to my corner of the web! I’m Richard Kwakye, and I’m passionate about guiding souls to heaven, crafting words of wisdom, and nurturing hearts to love Jesus.

For over a decade, I’ve had the honour of serving as a pastor, overseeing church districts across the UK on behalf of The Church of Pentecost UK, the second largest diasporan church in the country. Currently, I proudly serve as the Head Pastor of The Church of Pentecost Singapore, a ministry of Pentecost Community Church Services Ltd.

Beyond my pastoral duties, I’m an author with several published books, including ‘Where is Grandpa Now,’ ‘Let Girls Be Girls,’ and its compelling sequel, ‘Let Boys Be Boys.’ My creative spirit also finds an outlet in spoken word and poetry.

I am blessed to be married to Dokkaas Kwakye, a dedicated chemistry teacher, and together we cherish the joy of parenthood with our four beautiful children: Tabitha (8), Taliyah (6), Triumph (3), and Trinity (3).

Marriage is the biggest spiritual surgery we go through. Two are made one flesh. As a result, don’t be surprised if it hurts before it soothes”.

– PASTOR RICHARD KWAKYE

Pastor Richard Kwakye’s journey in life has been profoundly influenced by the beautiful love story he shares with his beloved wife, Dokkaas Kwakye. Their union, which has spanned over a decade, is a testament to the enduring power of love, faith, and friendship.

Richard and Dokkaas’s story began in the most serendipitous of places—their local church’s Sunday school. Growing up together, they formed a deep friendship that would become the foundation of their love story. Their connection was so strong that it seemed as though fate itself had woven their destinies together.

Their love story reached a significant milestone when they decided to tie the knot at the tender ages of 25 and 22, respectively. Since that beautiful day, their journey together has been blessed with the joy of four wonderful children—Tabitha, Taliyah, Triumph, and Trinity.

But their love story extends far beyond their own relationship. Over the years, Richard and Dokkaas have counselled and offered guidance to nearly a hundred couples. Their passion for fostering strong, loving marriages has touched the lives of many, emphasising the importance of faith, trust, and open communication in relationships.

Dokkaas, a dedicated professional teacher specialising in chemistry at the secondary school and sixth form level, is also a lecturer of counselling and leadership at Birmingham Christian College. Her commitment to both education and personal growth is remarkable. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Theology at the same institution, adding to her extensive academic achievements.

On the other hand, Pastor Richard holds a Masters in Religion from Kings College, University of London, and a postgraduate diploma in Applied Theology from Birmingham Christian College. His commitment to his faith and academic pursuits has enriched his perspective on life and spirituality.

Beyond their professional and academic pursuits, Richard and Dokkaas share a deep love for music, both as creators and enthusiasts. They enjoy reading, writing, and group discussions of any kind.
